A WINNER FOR KYLIE AT PONTEFRACT!
Kylie has been knocking on the door the last few weeks and after a couple of seconds in the last few days she desperately wanted a winner.
Having ridden Princess Flame before, and having won on her, Kylie went to Pontefract to ride for Brendan Powell who has been supplying her with many of her rides recently.
Kylie didn't disappoint and won by a neck at 8/1!
A great day for Brendan Powell too as this was his first win at Pontefract.

BRENDAN POWELL sent out his first winner on the course, and enjoyed his first success as an owner when Princess Flame, ridden by Kylie Manser took the apprentice handicap by a head from Timocracy.
"I've had a few near misses here before but this is my first winner, and I've only been an owner for a coupleof weeks," said the winning trainer.
"This filly has now won a bumper, over hurdles and on the Flat, so the idea is to win a chase with her and then send her off to stud," he added.

Back up at Pontefract and back onboard Princess Flame, Kylie rode patiently to win today by a length. Princess Flame went off a worthy favourite and didn't disappoint. The added advantage was Kylie wins the Pontefract Apprentice Series which finished today. She won a 2 week working holiday in the USA. Not a bad afternoon's work.

The concluding round of the Pontefract Apprentice Series - a 1m handicap - fell to Princess Flame, the mount of Kylie Manser, who also clinched the series, which carries a fortnights' working holiday this winter with trainer Carl Nafzger in Florida.
Manser, now only three winners short of reducing her claim to 5lb, is apprenticed to Brendan Powell, trainer of Princess Flame, but also receives strong support from Gay Kelleway, for whom she rides-out twice a week.
Manser rode a fine race on the winner to get the better of Dean Heslop - the series' runner-up - aboard Celtic Strand by a length.
PRINCESS FLAME, including her 6lb penalty, was 9lb higher than when winning that race over course and distance seven days earlier. She travelled well for most of the way before being niggled along coming to the final bend, but she responded well to pressure and put in a sustained run tight against the inside rail. She will avoid a penalty for this and is already due to race off 3lb lower.
